Eid Information

As Salaamu Alaikum,

Eid will be on Sunday, May 24, 2020. As previously announced, following the guidance of local health authorities and the Fiqh Council of North America, we will not hold Eid Salah in congregation this year.

Imam Kip will be holding an online khatira, in lieu of the khutbah at 10:30 AM. Please join with your families/roommates at (note: the khutbah for Eid is after prayer, so please pray with your families/roommates BEFORE this talk). Register here for the online khatira

We will be celebrating Eid for families with children in a socially distanced way via an in-car parade/caravan. If you would like to participate, decorate your car! We will start at 2 PM sharp. All participants will remain inside their vehicles at all times. Vehicles are to line up in a single file line (not blocking driveways) in the NE bound lanes (heading towards Ruby) of Harding Ave, starting at ICM. A small group of volunteers wearing PPE will distribute small gift bags to vehicles with children. Vehicles will pass ICM, collect their gift bags, proceed into the WVUCU (bank) parking lot, where they will turn around and head the opposite direction on Harding (away from Ruby), giving them the opportunity to say Salaam and Eid Mubarak to all those still in line, without exiting their vehicles. (see map below).

Please remember to pay your zakat ul fitr ($10/person for every member of your family) online before Eid – this is a requirement for every Muslim that has the means.

As Muslims living in a non-Muslim land, the masjid is 100% supported by donations from community members. We rely upon you to keep the masjid open and running. Please consider giving generously online during these last blessed nights of Ramadan to the General Operating Fund or the Sadaqah fund. We only fundraise in Ramadan and the community has always met our need. We were not able to fundraise this Ramadan and are $95,000 away from our $168,000 goal for this year. Please give generously – your gift is tax deductible. If you have any questions, please contact

Eid Mubarak!
