Islamic Finance 101 Workshop

As Salaamu Alaykum Dear Community Members,

Living in America has brought up many difficulties and obstacles for many of us in respect to how we practice our religion. One of the key dilemmas Muslim’s face is in regards to how we make and spend our money. Many Muslims often find themselves asking questions about the permissibility of certain things. Common examples include mortgages, student loans, cryptocurrency, and even questions about Zakat.

The Islamic Center of Morgantown is proud to announce that we will be hosting one of the leading Islamic Finance scholars in America. On Friday, September 29th, we will host Shaykh Dr. Main Al-Qudah at the Islamic Center from 7:00 PM until 9:30 PM.

This workshop will cover various principles that we need to know in order to make the best financial decisions in this world and for our hereafter. The topics that will be covered include Student loans, bank mortgages, credit cards, investing, retirement accounts (401k, etc.), different forms of insurance, and other crucial topics that we should all know.

After the workshop, there will be a dedicated, open Q&A where you can ask Dr. Main questions about Islamic Finance.
