Eid-ul Adha Announcement

As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa rahmatullāhi wa barakātuh,
As you may know, the sacred days of Dhul-Hijjah have already started. The 1st of Dhul-Hijjah was on the the 28th of May. Let us take a moment to reflect on their immense value and how we can make the most of this blessed time. The Prophet (SAW) said:
“There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
(Bukhari)
Below are some recommended actions and important reminders for these special days:

✅ Things To Do:
1. Increase in Worship & Good Deeds:
Engage in extra prayers, Qur’an recitation, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and charity.
2. Fast the First 9 Days (especially the 9th – the Day of Arafah):
The Prophet (SAW) said fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.
(Muslim)
3. Takbeer, Tahleel, Tahmeed, and Tasbeeh:
Say often:
Allāhu Akbar, Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Alḥamdulillāh, SubḥānAllāh
Especially from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah until the end of the days of Tashreeq (13th of Dhul-Hijjah).
4. Give in Charity:
Use this time to support the needy locally and globally.
5. Offer Qurbani/Udhiyah (if eligible):
For those not performing Hajj, it’s a Sunnah to offer a sacrificial animal.
6. Attend the Eid Prayer:
Come together with the community on Eid al-Adha in celebration and gratitude.

❌ Things To Avoid:
1. For Those Intending to Offer Qurbani:
Do not cut hair or nails from the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah until the sacrifice is done.

2. Neglecting the Days:
Avoid treating these days as ordinary—these are days of increased reward and opportunity.
3. Conflict or Harmful Speech:
Keep your heart and tongue pure—avoid arguments, backbiting, and anything that displeases Allah.

Let us take advantage of these days to draw closer to Allah and renew our intentions. May Allah accept our deeds, forgive our sins, and shower His mercy upon us and the entire Ummah.
